Skirt Hemming $25 / Skirt.  Invoiced to each club on submission to Neon Dancewear.
Skirt hemming can be arranged on a Club by Club basis. Club members submit their skirts, pre-hemmed, to their club representative who then presents these to Neon Dancewear as one bulk submission.  All skirts will need to be straightened and checked before submitting to Neon Dancewear for hemming.  The hemming charge is based on all skirts (team or champion girl) being submitted together by the club representative to Neon Dancewear.  No skirts will be accepted for hemming from individual members directly.

Please ensure each skirt pinning has been pre-checked for accuracy as Neon Dancewear does not take any responsibility for any hemming errors.   We offer the following advice on how to hem the 6 panel skirt.

How to Hem
The Dancer should stand at "Attention" with their skirt on.
1. Starting with the dancer facing the back, pin the back hem so it is just below the dancer's crotch.
2. Turning 180 degrees with the dancer facing the front, pin the front hems, including the left split, so they are just below the dancer's buttocks.
3. Turning 90 degrees to the left, pin the right side hem so that the front hems and back hems are level with the ground.
4. Turning 180 degrees to the left, pin the left side hem to that the front hems and back hems are level with the ground.

Remove the skirt.  Compare each opposing side seams to ensure they are of equal length.
1. Left and right side hem lengths should match
2. Both back hem lengths should match
3. All front hems lengths, including left split, should match.

Dancers with sway backs will naturally have the back of the skirt longer than the front.

Note: Allow an extra 1/2 cm in length for cutting and stitching.  You may like to use several pins around the bottom of the skirt to improve the accuracy of your hem length
